47 students from PYP and High School plus 4 teachers have successfully completed the Bangkok Global Round of the World Scholar's Cup (WSC). The Bangkok Global Round was held from August 25 - 30 (1st Batch) and September 1 - 6 (2nd Batch). WSC is an academic competition. But it's different from other competitions, in that it's probably not even a competition. It is a celebration of learning. Instead of focusing on memorizing facts, the WSC is all about applying them and relating them to the world around us. The Bangkok Global Round is also a continuation round after students completed the regional round last May 2023 which was hosted in our school. From this event, Sekolah Ciputra achieved 6 trophies and many medals. Before leaving Bangkok, the 2nd batch's students and teachers had a day tour. They visited some interesting tourist destinations such as: the Floating market, Mahanakhon Skywalk, Wat Arun, and Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise. The students had a great experience. They made new friends and learned from other people. Even though they had to study a lot and research a lot, they loved doing it and most importantly, they had great times with their friends.
