What are JISMO Competitions?
JISMO—The Japan International Science and Mathematics Olympiads (JISMO) was developed based on the curriculum from the Ministry of Education in Japan. Forty percent of the contents were modified to meet international standards, covering all Primary/Elementary themes.
Since 2009, the JISMO team has begun developing its own assessment framework by examining the curriculums of other countries, such as Singapore, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and so on.
JISMO is the annual competition in Mathematics and Science from grade 2 to grade 6 that aims to foster a love for mathematics and science among young students. The event tests the students' knowledge and problem-solving skills, making it a valuable experience for young minds. Over 2000 students from 73 schools participated in JISMO
What are the Purposes?
Participating in the JISMO Competition will:
- Enable students to experience the joy of learning to be confident and proud of their achievements.
- Equip students not only with intellectual skills but also emotional and moral skills.
- Develop a scientific mind and mathematical logic.
