AIMO is an annual international Olympiad competition that originated from Hong Kong. It has been organized by the Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Union since 2012. This competition has been running internationally with 24 countries which include China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Mongolia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Australia, Bulgaria, Nigeria, and Brazil. It is a platform for students to improve critical thinking skills and exchange knowledge, and promote educational and cultural development.
This international competition is open to Grade 2 to Grade 12 students.

Format There are 20 non-MCQ questions altogether.
Full marks will be 100.
Part A – 8 questions, each 4 marks
Part B – 8 questions, each 5 marks
Part C – 4 questions, each 7 marks
Awards
Trial Top 10% of the participants receive Gold Award, the next 20% of the participants receive Silver Award, the next 30% of the participants receive Bronze Award. The other participants receive a Certificate of Participation. All awardees in the Trial Round may enter the Final Round. Final Top 10% of the participants receive Gold Award, the next 20% of the participants receive Silver Award, the next 30% of the participants receive Bronze Award. The other participants receive a Certificate of Merit.
